The 2010 schools rugby season produced plenty of highlights, and some remarkable performances by some teams and individuals. However the game at schoolboy level also attracted media attention for a number of unwanted reasons, with the interference of spectators in the game, and isolated cases of tempers boiling over and boys taking the law into their own hands.

Hilton College Medical Team
Hilton College's Medical Team operate from out of the First-Aid Control Room under the stands of the main field at Gilfillan. We have two Registered Nurses working all day. Our School Doctor works from 10:00 to 17:00 from the same base. The injuries we deal with vary from concussions to all joint and muscle injuries and fractures. Lacerations are sutured in our first-aid room.

Clifton College Medical Coverage
On rugby match days, a group of Clifton College Pupils, who have participated in various training courses, provide first aid support along with additional staff from ER 24. The medical support is in line with the Minimum Medical Requirements for Rugby Matches Protocol which has been developed by SA Rugby and supported by Discovery SharkSmart.
